Inspirations

These resources all have one thing in common….they help us to heal at the root.

I want to acknowledge these excerpts are taken directly from the internet, so as to preserve each person or organization's mission. A double asterick denotes my own experience with each resource.

Mike Nelson

Reformed clutterer and best-selling author Mike Nelson (Stop Clutter from Stealing Your Life, and Clutter-proof Your Business) discusses why people clutter-regardless of their age-and how they can clean up and break out of their habit of cluttering. Nelson explains that cluttering is more about emotional triggers than organizing skills. "Organizing" is often too vague a goal for adults, as well. Traditional organizing techniques do not work for everyone because people relate to their "stuff" differently. He presents a wide array of techniques that will help all adults with cluttering habits permanently change their behavior and improve their life. This book is about a lot more than organizing-it's about creating a less cluttered life for you and a better life for your children.

**This author really gets the connection as to why folks may  clutter. When I read his books I found  the deep understanding vital to creating change. A must read for those wanting to want to heal their patterns.**

HeartMath Institute  https://www.heartmath.org

Since 1991, when Doc Childre founded the nonprofit HeartMath Institute, our vision has been to provide tools that connect us with “the heart of who we truly are.” Today HeartMath serves people of all ages and walks of life around the world in their homes, classrooms and communities – so they can live healthier, happier and more fulfilling lives.

We research and develop reliable, scientifically based tools that bridge the connection between heart and mind and deepen people’s connection with the hearts of others. This empowers people to greatly reduce stress, increase resilience and unlock their natural intuitive guidance for making better choices.

Although I learned about the connection to the heart in a more organic way. The HeartMath institute is a credible source steeped in science that gives satisfying legitimacy to the power of the heart and how we can make wiser and more effective decisions when relying upon it.

Eckhart Tolle   https://eckharttolle.com

The Power of Now proposes that the only way to reach true peace and fulfillment is through being completely present in each moment you experience. There is a part of our mind, called the ego, that derails us by ruminating on the past, speculating about the future, clinging to our painful experiences, and insisting that we will be happy and fulfilled if we can just achieve this goal.

A life changing book that helped me to harness the present and stop living in the past. I created an index in the book so that I can continue to refer back to his simple yet transcendent message.

BodyTalk   www.bodytalksystem.com

BodyTalk is a revolutionary healthcare system that utilizes state-of-the-art energy medicine to optimize the body's internal communications. This helps the body to operate more efficiently and effectively respond to injury and illness.

I gained my certificate in  both Fundementals 1 and 2 in BT to deepen my understanding of the mind - body connection. I learned the importance of attention and  how vital our beliefs are within the healing process.

Living in Process   https://livinginprocess.com

The Living in Process paradigm is one of living our lives fully. We learn to “take our place” and participate fully in our own lives, with others in meaningful relationships, with nature, recognizing that we are nature, and with our spirituality, however we may define and express that spirituality for ourselves.

This paradigm deeply  influenced my life capacity to listen to myself and others.

I would highly recommend the Book Living in Process and explore the possibility of attending one of the weekend intensives being offered around the world.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)  https://www.tcmworld.org/what-is-tcm/healing-modalities/

TCM is an ancient system of health and wellness that’s been used in China for thousands of years. Western medicine focuses mainly on treating disease. But TCM looks at your entire well-being.

I first was introduced to TCM via acupuncture. The treatment has been an integral part to the healing of my Fibromyalgia. I learned about how our body is in relationship with itself and with nature. I came to recognize it as a sacred art and felt so passionate about its efficacy that I went back to school. I graduated with a diploma in TCM.

Last words: most philosophies acknowledge the heart as having an innate wisdom and TCM is no different. TCM considers the heart to be "the emperor"  and I heartedly agree. My experience has proven to me that relying on the wise heart's power to discern is an incredibly effective approach to life.
